As a 2013 New York Foundation of the Arts Screenwriting Fellowship recipient, Marquis won a grant for his screenplay MOMMAS BOY. In 2014 Marquis directed his first feature length “docu-tainment” film entitled, HATING OBAMA, which was released in May 2015 by Moguldom Studios and was available on the STARZ channel, iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon Prime. He also executive produced the Back to Natural documentary in 2017 that is now available on Revolt TV. Marquis has worked as an artist/educator at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens, New York Film Academy in Manhattan and currently consults with P.S. 314 and as an instructional coach with Classroom Inc. an education technology non-profit that supports online and remote learning while continuing his journey in the entertainment, education, arts and progressive activist communities. He is also writing and developing a slate of feature films, documentary and episodic TV projects in various stages of production and development. Marquis will always lead by example with a positive and progressive outlook on life while creating entertaining, enlightening and relevant content for our diverse, rapidly expanding and ever-changing world.
